Brodie Shreeve

Curriculum Vitae

Age: Getting on a bit, he should probably stop partying so hard

Address: Originally from Melbourne, Australia but lives in Lagos in the summer and anywhere else where the sun is shining during the winter

Personal Summary: Just a bit of a legend really, potentially the worst dancer in the world, definitely the worst at chat up lines, wardrobe choices are always questionable but an absolute pro at coming in at 7 am and being fresh as fuck the next day, he’s the perfect hangover cure.

Main Achievements: Managing to pole dance (if you can even call it that) in Mellow every weekend without breaking any bones, not losing his stubby holder (this was written a month ago, he has now lost it), finding the van after he misplaced it at a pizza party, on a night out he still managed to get a kiss from a girl after the chat up line of “Can I kiss you because your breath smells like beer”, preventing his face from melting off with Sagres stickers, looks weirdly ok in a dress, he’s actually pretty good behind a BBQ, beating the bottle, once participated in a stand-up comedy night and his story was so outrageous they didn’t laugh – make sure you ask him about that one.

Skills: Baby wipe showers, hanging on the pole in Mellow, warning people about dog poo, impeccably good at saying he’s going to have a night in and ending up with Sagres in hand in Eddie’s, getting distracted by everything all the time, very handy with a straw.

Hobbies: Drinking, touring, footy (COME ON YOU DEEEES) and a little more drinking.

Education: Degree in Public Relations from the Monash University. His dissertation is laminated on the kitchen table if you fancy a read.

Past work experience: Getting fired from every bar in Lagos before deciding to start Vagabundo 6 years ago, now he can party with epic people and work – “the beauty of the job” as Emu would say.

You’ve got to meet him to believe it, come on a tour!

The above description of me was written in 2017. Things have changed quite a bit since then, I’d like to think I’m still just as fun, but things have definitely changed. Not long after my workawayer and great friend Laura wrote this description of me, I met Jess who I married a year later. We have since moved to a house in Portelas, a quaint little town just out of Lagos and on the 27th of January 2022 we welcomed our gorgeous daughter, Paislee into the world. So outside of being a father I guess I’ve become a bit of a backpacker dad to the young travellers I take on tour.

The best beach tour in the world… You couldnt ask for a better tour guide than Brodie, the coolest most chilled Aussie you’ll meet.
